UPDATE:
Palm Tree Music Festival’s India debut will take place between November 3rd and 5th in Mumbai, with a headline set by co-founder Kygo. More international artists are expected to be announced. A press release notes that the three-day festival will have an opening party on the 3rd, followed by the main festival at Mahalakshmi Race Course and an afterparty on the 4th, with the final day on November 5th hosting a closing party.
Globe-trotting event series Palm Tree Music Festival – co-founded by Norwegian producer Kygo aka Kyrre Gorvell Dahll and his manager Myles Shear – is slated to visit India later this year for the first time.
Kygo said in a statement, “We are thrilled to premiere the Palm Tree Music Festival experience in India given my long-standing relationship with the Indian fans. The tropical lifestyle isn’t just our brand, it’s a way of life, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally hit the Indian shores with our community to start the winter season with good vibes and great music.”
While additional details such as dates, tickets, lineup and venue are expected this month, Palm Tree Music Festival’s India debut marks the arrival of yet another global property. With a focus on “ultra-luxurious” experiences, past editions of Palm Tree Music Festival have set up in places like Aspen, Bali, toured Australia, The Hamptons in New York and are also heading to the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt between October 26th to 29th.
The festival – put together by Palm Tree Crew – promises international artists alongside “unique VVIP experiences” as well as brand activations, which is now pretty much a staple at several music events in India.
Past lineups of Palm Tree Music Festival across the world don’t just include Kygo and other EDM heavy-hitters like Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Sam Feldt and Gryffin but also pop artists like Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo, plus rock artist Jack White, indie acts like King Princess and Cannons.
