Punjabi hip-hop star Parmish Verma brings quick bars about friendship, fame and identity on his latest song “Off Limits,” presented via major label T-Series and Bhushan Kumar.

With music composed by Punjabi music’s rising go-to hitmaker Starboy X (who has worked with the likes of Jassa Dhillon, Harkirat Sangha and Sarb), the lyrics on “Off Limits” are written by Saheb.

Verma says in a statement about his new song, “‘Off Limits’ is my way of pushing past boundaries and expressing what’s real — it’s packed with energy and raw emotion. This is my second outing with T-Series, Bhushan sir has given me all the creative freedom to say what I truly want to say, this track means a lot to me because it’s all about breaking free and embracing the power of being unapologetically myself. I can’t wait to share this journey with you.”

In the music video co-directed by Wowa and Verma, the artist gathers up his crew right from the tarmac after stepping off a private jet, hitting London and reflecting the lyrics – which lead up to Verma enjoying his lassi on the river Thames.

The song will likely round off Verma’s year, who previously released the single “My Life Be Like” with Starboy X and had “2 Number” with Haryanvi rapper DG Immortals out last week. The hip-hop artist previously released his EP Y Hate? earlier this year and took on collabs like “Car Culture” with fellow Punjabi hitmakers Laddi Chahal and Gurlez Akhtar.

Earlier this year, Verma — known for songs like “Rubicon Drill” — was also the cover star on Rolling Stone India. He said in the interview, “I just love singing about hustle, hard work… and then success. It’s always about working hard, then celebrating it. An infinite loop. All my content comes from two sides of myself; the side of me that’s about the initial years, my dreams, aspirations, my struggles.”
