True to their name, Bengaluru-based rock band Parvaaz are set to take flight once again performing at Canada’s biggest music festival – Canadian Music Week 2019 – between May 6th-13th. The Play. Parvaaz. Repeat! Tour will be the band’s second Canada tour after a month-long stint in 2017. Like the first one, this tour has also been organized by event agency Purple Patch, the group’s artist relations team in North America.
From their experience performing in Canada, vocalist-guitarist Khalid Ahamed says, “[As] an independent band to go and showcase our music outside, playing for a new crowd has always been a great thing for us.” Vocalist-guitarist Mir Kashif Iqbal adds, “[It was] quite a learning curve, playing outside the country for such a long duration.”
This time around, the band will perform across various venues in Toronto from intimate spaces to big stages. The group is also looking forward to playing at some of the venues that they performed at for their last tour including Small World Music Center and The Hideout. Parvaaz’s setlist will also include songs from their forthcoming yet-to-be-titled album which is currently in the works and slated to release later this year.
