Peter Cat Recording Co. to Perform at BottleRock This Year
The big-ticket music festival is scheduled for May in California and will mark the band’s U.S. debut
Over the years, New Delhi waltz/gypsy and jazz-rock band Peter Cat Recording Co. have grown to become one of the most prominent, exciting and enjoyable acts in India. The outfit has clearly cemented its place among the crème de la crème of artists from within our shores. And now the band are set to take their talents to the U.S. after announcing that they will be performing at this year’s BottleRock Napa Valley music festival, their debut gig in America.
BottleRock takes place between May 26th and 28th, 2023 at the Napa Valley Expo in Napa, California. Peter Cat – who play on day one of the three-day event – will share the bill with the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Smashing Pumpkins, Post Malone, Lizzo, Duran Duran, Leon Bridges, Nile Rodgers, Sheryl Crow, Taj Mahal, Lil Nas X, Wu-Tang Clan and other big-ticket global names.
Vocalist-guitarist Suryakant Sawhney aka Lifafa says, “It’s an amazing surprise to play at a festival of this scale for our first time in America. We’ve been receiving countless messages from our fans in America about how excited they are about the news.”
Peter Cat’s performance at such a major global festival marks a big win for Indian independent artists, and here’s hoping that more homegrown acts follow in their footsteps, making their presence felt on international stages and tapping into the western market too.
