Pharrell Williams delivers throwback soul and gospel with his new song “Able.” The track appears on the original soundtrack for the upcoming film Hidden Figures, which tells the story of the black, female mathematicians who were NASA’s secret weapon during its first successful space mission.

The Motown-esque song is the fifth track the producer and performer has released from the soundtrack, which will be officially released on December 9th. In it, he sings “Don’t you know that we’re able/That alone makes us major” above a booming, uplifting horn arrangement.

Williams contributed the majority of the songs for the soundtrack and worked with Lalah Hathaway, Alicia Keys, Kim Burrell and one of the film’s stars, Janelle Monae. Monae and Mary J. Blige have solo tracks on the album as well. Hidden Figures also stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Jim Parsons, Kirsten Dunst and Kevin Costner and will hit theaters on Christmas Day.
