The Mumbai progressive rock/metal band played their first gig in over a year in Kolkata alongside local bands
Mumbai progressive rock/metal band Midhaven last took to stage in May last year, when they launched their debut EP Tales From the Tide, but they made a good first impression at their debut Kolkata gig, promoting their full-length album Spellbound. The four-piece band, who released Spellbound in April, played songs from their album, alongside four local bands – metalcore act Intoxicate, thrash metallers Shrap, rock/metal band Asymmetry and technical death metal band Evil Conscience.
Despite a low turnout due to heavy rains, Midhaven played a 40-minute set comprising all tracks off Spellbound, except “Tales From the Tide,” which was cut short as the venue had to down its shutters for the night and comply with the city’s pubbing deadline.
Midhaven will play two more gigs this week including a set at a day-long event, Into Glory Ride III, in Guwahati on July 8th and in Itanagar on July 11th.
