IMG_6219From what began as a slightly delayed, quiet Thursday gig-night at Blue Frog, Mumbai on August 27th, Nicholson’s performance soon elevated to a perfect culmination of sound and visuals. The Mumbai-based band that performs in many avatars played this gig as a three-member act, featuring Sohrab Nicholson on vocals and keys, Rohan Ramanna on drums and Stuart DaCosta [from electro funk outfit Mauj Maharaja] on bass.

The set commenced with the beautifully scripted “Bad Man,” and reached its zenith with the crowd favorite “For What II.”  Frontman Sohrab was at his vocal best ”“ effortlessly switching between needle-thin highs to eerie lows. The perfect blend of clean keys against the occasional hard hitting bass from Stuart DaCosta backed by extremely tight drumming from Ramanna’s end gave the people their money’s worth.
