The hills of Kurseong got a solid dose of reverberation thanks to the Pine Tree Music Festival, which was held between October 15th and 16th. The fourth edition of the festival brought in metal, rock, singer-songwriters and folk-fusion for those gathered from the North East states, Nepal and West Bengal, among other regions.

Headline performances included singer-songwriter Taba Chake, heavy metallers Girish and The Chronicles, Nepali rock frontrunners Albatross, fresher acts like Salakhala and dependable rock favorites such as Gingerfeet, Trance Effect, Street Stories and more. Among the local artists taking the stage were tech-death metal band Obliterating Vortex, singer-songwriter Raman lama aka Nineteen and Meraki.
