Indian Ocean guitarist Susmit Sen kicked off his debut solo tour in Mumbai on August 9th. Sen dedicated the tour to former Them Clones bassist, Clarence Gonsalves, who had performed on Sen’s debut solo album Depths Of The Ocean. “I remember he would get out of the hospital and come straight to the recording sessions. This was perhaps his last recording,” said Sen. The setlist for the night included all tracks from his solo album, two never-before-played tracks and “Melancholic Ecstasy” from Indian Ocean’s first live album Desert Rain. What the audience lacked in numbers, they  made up in spirit, cheering loudly for every track, giving Sen and his band their due in the spotlight.
