Finnish metal legends made their trip to India count, taking the stage despite heavy rain washing out the final day of the fest in Bengaluru

Children of Bodom, Cypher16, The Raghu Dixit Project and Shaa’ir + Func were among the top bands at Jayamahal Palace in Bengaluru for the three-day Kingfisher Great Indian October Fest. While metalheads have welcomed a good downpour once in a while, this time around, the organizers, who were unprepared, hurriedly set up mini-gazebos to cover the equipment and artists to ensure that the show went on the last day of the festival, October 14th. The last-minute prepping also resulted in cutting down Raghu Dixit’s set to three songs. Other artists such as Thermal and a Quarter, Shankar Tucker, Slain and Benny Dayal had to call off their performances. That meant the day’s first acts, Bull Engine and Fringe Pop, inadvertently opened for headliners Dixit and Bodom.
