A look behind Sital-Singh's visit to India to perform at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender and in Mumbai this week
Coming in fresh from his performance at NH7 Weekender in Pune, British singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh’s next performance is the exact opposite of a big festival appearance. The Londoner will meet fans in Mumbai today at Bonobo, and play an intimate gig. Says Sital-Singh, who will later go on to perform at the Delhi NCR edition of Weekender, “It should be an interesting night for me. I get to play a few songs and make it an introductory kind of evening and invite fans as well.”
The singer-songwriter, who released his debut album The Fire Inside earlier this year, says he’s done meet-and-greet sessions before, but says tonight’s gig in Mumbai will be different. Says Sital-Singh, “I haven’t done anything this interactive before. It’s not a party or anything, because I’m not the party type, but it’s going to be fun.”
The artist earlier spoke about his India connection, saying, “My great grand parents moved from Jamaica to India. But the roots are kind of lost. No one even knows where to start. [It was] A few generations back.” Sital-Singh has definitely spent his time well, doing all things touristy and shooting a video tour diary. Check out photos from his time in India so far.
Luke Sital-Singh performs at Bonobo, Mumbai on November 26th, 2014 [Event details here] and at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida as part of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender, on the MTS Discover Stage at 8:10 pm on November 29th, 2014.
