After releasing his thrilling eight-track album Bhram last year, New Delhi rapper Prabh Deep kicked off 2023 with a four-track EP entitled PRAA. Without wasting much time, the artist has now released a deluxe version of Bhram that consists of 13 songs.
According to a press note, “Bhram Deluxe takes a profound look at the man-made illusions that have become intrinsic to human civilization. This album explores the illusions that communities attach themselves to and addresses the structure behind them to reveal the driving motive behind it all; power.”
Bhram Deluxe is also brimming with collaborations and includes features from fellow artists including GD47 and Encore ABJ on the dreamy “Sukoon,” SYPS on the industrial sounding “Nafrat,” Ikka for the intrinsic “Samaaj” and Calm on the shapeshifting “Shaitaan.”
Other collaborations include the hard-hitting Ahmer feature on “Inayat,” the slick Scuti track “Sagar” and the Raftaar-induced song “Tajurba.”
The statement added, “The collaborations on Bhram Deluxe are a reflection and expansion of Prabh’s interwoven community which brings in more layered perspectives to expand Prabh’s universe. The illusion of power eclipses our lives, and every track on Bhram Deluxe dismantles it.”
Prabh Deep is also heard making peace with his past on the wistful “Paisa,” addressing the negative side of fame on the smooth “Shaurat” and praising the power of community on the scorching “Rishte.”
The rapper has also released visuals to go with the songs. “Creating a visual cosmos with Bhram Deluxe, the imagery is carefully curated with intricate detail – from the costumes adorned by Prabh to the forgotten histories of the landscapes depicted through seamless movement, the project sees him add another facet to his unique style of multidimensional storytelling,” the statement said.
With Bhram Deluxe, there’s quite a lot to pick from for fans of Prabh Deep. The rapper’s unique sonic embellishments coupled with his one-of-a-kind delivery make it quite a listen and one that is sure to garner plenty of plays. With so much fresh music from Prabh Deep out already this year, one can only imagine what he’s got in store for the rest of 2023.
