Prateek Kuhad is Transformed by Love on New Song ‘I’m Someone New’

Singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad is deftly balancing his global and Indian identity with his recent run of singles and the latest, song “I’m Someone New” unfolds like a rock song, complete with falsetto-driven hooks about how he changes in the presence of his partner.

Released via Elektra Records and Warner Music India, “I’m Somone New” is co-produced by New York songwriter and producer Gregg Wattenberg, who’s worked on hits like “Hey Soul Sister” by Train, John Legend’s “Conversations in the Dark” and more. A press release states, “The heartfelt song explores the transformative power of love and its profound impact on one’s sense of self.”

Kuhad’s new song arrives after previous 2024 singles including “Just Like A Movie” (also co-produced by Wattenberg) and “No Complaints”  and just as he announced his Silhouettes India Tour in November and December this year. On the global front, Kuhad’s Silhouettes Tour has so far taken him to North America earlier this year and goes onwards to Australia in September and the U.K. and Europe in October.

The artist says in a statement about the song, “Sometimes, being around a person and their love can really change you into the best version of yourself, a version that maybe you weren’t even aware existed. At its core, ‘I’m Someone New’ is about the immensely transformative power of love. This song was made with a lot of heart, and I’m happy that it’s finally out!”

Kuhad’s 10-city Silhouettes India Tour comes right at the peak of music festival season and is scheduled to kick off on Nov. 8 and end on Dec. 22, 2024.

Starting from Hyderabad on Nov. 8, the tour will make its way to Bengaluru (Nov. 9), Mumbai (Nov. 15), Pune (Nov. 16), Gurugram (Nov. 23), Jaipur (Nov. 24), Kolkata (Dec. 14), Guwahati (Dec. 15), Indore (Dec. 21), and Ahmedabad (Dec. 22). Early Bird Tickets for the ‘Silhouettes Tour’ are available on BookMyShow and via the artist’s website.

Prateek Kuhad previously said about the tour in a press release, “The love and energy that India pours is unparalleled. We will be touring across the globe over the next few months and will wrap up the Silhouettes Tour in winter with the India leg.
