Within less than a year of releasing his debut album In Tokens and Charms, Prateek Kuhad is gearing up to record new material in Toca Do Bandido studios in Rio De Janeiro as part of the Converse Rubber Tracks Global Program.

The Delhi-based singer-songwriter is the only Indian musician among the 84 artists selected for the program, which saw entries from 9,000 up-and-coming acts from across the world. Kuhad, along with drummer Nikhil Vasudevan [from Delhi ska/reggae outfit The Ska Vengers] and bassist/keyboardist Dhruv Bhola [of acoustic rock band RUN! It’s The Kid] will travel to Rio de Janeiro from September 14th to September 17th to record a new track.

While Kuhad will record in Toca Do Bandido, the program is offering winning bands free recording time in studios like Abbey Road Studios in London, Sunset Sound in California and The Warehouse Studio in Canada.
