Rap-rock band strips down Ryan Tedder-assisted new single
Gym Class Heroes and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder team up for this outdoor, unplugged rendition of “The Fighter,” a cut from the rap-rock band’s fifth album, The Papercut Chronicles II. Even with the stripped-down sound ”“ punctuated by knee-slap percussion from Tedder ”“ GCH frontman Travie McCoy and guitarist Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo maintain the song’s anthemic quality.
“We took a little break while on the set of The Fighter video shoot to film this little acoustic video,” said McCoy. “It was actually the first time we ever played the song live with Ryan.”
