Primitiv to Perform at G-Shock Rolling Stone Metal Awards 2016
The Mumbai metallers have also been nominated in the Best Guitarist, Best Vocalist and Best Album catgories for RSMA
Who does a dystopian concept album swarming with warlords, spooky deserts and killer riffs better than the lords of Primitiv? The Mumbai metallers became a regular on the gig circuit in 2015 with their ominous “stone-age metal,” and are now making their way to the RSMA stage to perform at the seventh edition of the awards on February 28th at Hard Rock Cafe, Worli.
Primitiv released their debut album Immortal and Vile last year through Transcending Obscurity Distribution, which has also earned them three nominations in the Best Guitarist, Best Vocalist and Best Album category. Says bassist Riju Dasgupta, “We’re really kicked about scoring nominations in our very first year. Makes the endless hours spent in the studio seem worthwhile.”
For their RSMA debut, Primitiv will be performing tracks off the seven-track release, along with a few Sabbath and Led Zep covers. Urging fans to come out and support the band, Dasgupta promises that Primitiv will bring their best to the stage: “It’s probably the biggest show we’ve ever played in terms of magnitude, and we’ll bring our A game for this.”
