Rad Museum and Wonstein Join Forces on ‘Air Drop’

Accompanied by a minimalist music video, the South Korean singer sheds light on the socio-economical imbalance which haunts our society

Through a self-directed music video, South Korean  R&B singer Rad Museum blends his thought-provoking lyricism and hip-hop beats in “AirDrop.”  Written and composed by the artist alongside South Korean rappers Wonstein and Daehee, “AirDrop” is a powerful commentary on social inequality and its adverse effects on society.

“AirDrop” takes a fresh spin with its synth-piano arrangement, which remains dominant throughout the track. Just as the song enters its final lap, a vibrant guitar riff fuses with the existing ensemble, giving “AirDrop” the color of rap-rock.

Rad Museum keeps it breezy with minimalist cinematography comprising solid pastel backdrops and scenes with each artist. The music video also seems to capture the recent events which saw millionaires Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson experience space tourism, to further drive the income inequality conversation. Just before Wonstein steps in, Rad Museum pulls out his phone to get on a video conference with the rapper who seems to be armored with a spacesuit replica. The reference is made strong through the shift in cinematography which sees Wonstein placed against rocky mountains, mimicking the terrains of outer space.

Lead by “AirDrop,” Rad Museum’s 2021 single album, Brainstorm also features a second collaborative track with JUSTHIS titled, “Exit.” Wonstein— who has recently worked with Korean singer-songwriter Suran and EXO’s D.O.— has released multiple singles this year, the last being his July 2021 R&B track, “When Night Is Falling.”
