ZEE Live’s Supermoon will host the hip-hop star in Hyderabad, Gurugram and Goa, from December 12th to 19th
Raftaar (center) will be joined by Rashmeet Kaur, Kr$na, Karma, Yunan and Deep Kalsi on the Supermoon ft Kalamkaar three-city tour in December.
Composer, rapper and TV personality Raftaar will head out on three shows along with top artists from the Kalamkaar roster as part of event series Supermoon that kicks off on December 12th. Raftaar’s headline set will be supported by singer-composer Rashmeet Kaur, hip-hop heavyweight Kr$na, Punjabi singer-songwriter Deep Kalsi, rising rap artist Karma and producer Yunan.
ZEE Live’s Supermoon ft. Kalamkaar tour will open in Hyderabad on December 12th, followed by Gurugram on December 17th and Goa on December 19th. The announcement comes on the back of Supermoon shows being held in November, featuring Punjabi artist AP Dhillon.
Raftaar, who released the buoyant, club-friendly song “Ghana Kasoota” with Rashmeet Kaur on November 11th, previously teamed up with Supermoon for a virtual performance in August 2020. The artist says he is glad to be hitting the road with fellow hip-hop artists. Speaking about the upcoming tour, he says, “What really excites me is the fact that the tour will give all of us a chance to connect with our fans directly and enjoy the energy that they bring with them. With a little more than a month to go, I look forward to being a part of this property and giving my fans an event to remember.”
The rapper became part of Kalamkaar with the label’s founder and CEO Ankit Khanna. The music entrepreneur says he’s also looking forward to the association between Supermoon and Kalamkaar, hinting at the possibility of the tour going overseas. ZEE Live’s chief business officer Swaroop Banerjee added in his statement, “A year ago when Ankit Khanna, Raftaar and I were discussing the possibility of a tour, it struck us that there has never been a desi hip-hop and folk Punjabi entourage like this before […]The three-city tour could become an international traveling hip-hop ensemble in the future.”
