Multi-genre music festival Ragasthan returns for its third edition after a four-year hiatus on February 23rd, 2018. The three-day event takes place in the middle of the deserts of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, combining the music festival experience with camping.

Ragasthan will feature three stages””Morio (peacock) is a theatrical stage to showcase rock, pop, hip-hop, and world music performances. Birakha (rain) is a more personal stage, built to give the audience closer access to the artists and showcases indie, singer-songwriters, and experimental artists through the afternoon into sunset. Finally there is Ammara (shining star), the night-time stage which will showcase a range of DJs, producers and live acts from across the electronic music spectrum. A fascinating point of Ragasthan is that even with over 40 performances there are no overlapping stages, giving audiences a chance to catch each act live.

The festival’s eclectic lineup includes Punjabi hip-hop sensation Prabh Deep, folk-fusion duo Shadow and Light, singer-songwriter Dhruv Visvanath, prog rock band Daira, Canadian music group Delhi 2 Dublin, hip-hop collective Swadesi and many more.

In addition to music and camping, Ragasthan boasts late night bonfire sessions, open-air movie screenings, hot air balloon rides, art installations (including a 40-foot see-saw), workshops and star-gazing.
