Rahul Advani’s Latest Song ‘Fire Burning’ Addresses Toxic Relationships
The track is set to appear on the Mumbai-based artist’s forthcoming EP ‘Elements’
Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Rahul Advani has just released his third single, the blazing “Fire Burning.” The track follows his previous offerings such as “Ready To Breathe” and “Oh My.”
Collaborating with Vinod Ramanarayanan on the ghatam and Singaporean guitarist Addy Rasidi, the track weaves together Eighties rock guitars with South Indian percussion. The result is a soundscape that mirrors the tension of toxic relationships, capturing the essence of manipulation, gaslighting, and the eventual liberation from such emotional shackles.
Advani shares that the lyrics are a reflection of the moment when one realizes the erosion of self in the clutches of an unhealthy connection. The opening lines, “How many times do you have to lie before you crack, you’re driving down a one-way street and you can’t turn back,” echo the internal struggle and awakening that comes when the signs of a doomed relationship can no longer be ignored. In a departure from his previous releases, Advani takes a darker turn both sonically and lyrically, crafting a fierce song that mirrors the intensity of a relationship engulfed in flames.
The artist has also initiated a dance challenge, inviting listeners to groove to the clap-led rhythms and drum-heavy, energetic chorus of “Fire Burning.”
Looking ahead, the singer-songwriter is poised to release an EP titled Elements, featuring his three singles to date along with a new track called “Goodbye My Friend.” Apart from that, the musician is also busy recording new material and assembling a live set to share his songs with audiences across India.
