Rajasthani Folk Musicians Pay Tribute to Bob Dylan with Beautiful Rendition Of ‘Jokerman’

Gazi Khan and Padma Shri Anwar Khan of folk group Divana talk about their version of the song on the American singer-songwriter’s 80th birthday

Back in 2013, French producer Alain Weber put together a compilation album titled From Another World: A Tribute to Bob Dylan, in honor of the American singer-songwriter. From the 13 acts to feature on the record, one of those was India’s own Rajasthani folk group Divana with their invigorating version of Dylan’s “Jokerman” off his 1983 album Infidels.

In a new short documentary put together by filmmakers Jaimin Rajani and Vineet Arora, Divana’s Gazi Khan and Padma Shri Anwar Khan talk about the making of their rendition of the song on Dylan’s 80th birthday today and Weber also chimes in about what led him to put From Another World: A Tribute to Bob Dylan together.
