Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Welcome Third Child, Rocki Irish Mayers

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their third child, Rocki Irish Mayers.

In an Instagram post Wednesday, Sept. 24, the pop star confirmed that she gave birth earlier this month, on Sept. 13. Rihanna shared a photo of herself with the baby girl, as well as a picture of what appear to be two baby-sized boxing gloves. 

Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their first son, RZA, in 2022, while their second son, Riot, was born in 2023. Rihanna revealed she was pregnant with their third child back in May, making a fashionably late entrance at the Met Gala in a two-piece Miu Miu outfit that emphasized her baby bump.  

The announcement happens to come one day after Elle published an A$AP Rocky cover story, in which he expressed his desire for a baby girl. “I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he said. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know. I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”

In an April 2024 chat with Interview Magazine, Rihanna was asked how many more children she wanted. She replied: “As many as God wants me to have.” When asked if it was more than two, she said, “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
