Following the release of the first single “Work” featuring Canadian rapper Drake, Rihanna surprised her fans by dropping her brand new album Anti for free, stating that the album is “a gift to my Navy” on Twitter. The follow up to 2012’s Unapologetic comes with massive excitement from fans who were eager to see which direction the singer would take with Anti.

Rapper Jay-Z’s music streaming service Tidal initially uploaded Anti accidentally and removed it quickly after, but not before fans had already purchased and shared the tracks. Anti being available for free is a likely consequence of the mistake, but one fans are thankful for.

In addition to ”˜Work’ the album features tracks like “Same Ol’ Mistakes” a cover of Australian rock group Tame Impala’s “New Person, Same Old Mistakes” and “Never Ending”, an interpolation of British singer/songwriter Dido’s 1999 debut hit “Thank You”. Curiously the singles Rihanna released in 2015 ”“ “Bitch Better Have My Money”, “American Oxygen” and “Four, Five Seconds” [which also features Kanye West and Paul McCartney]- are all absent from the album.

Anti will stream exclusively on Tidal for an entire week and will be available for free download for a limited time with Rihanna’s code ”˜ANTI’, after which it will be available through purchase. A deluxe edition of the album featuring three more tracks is set to launch on Friday. Rihanna will also embark on her Anti World Tour towards the end of February 2016 supported by American rapper and producer Travis Scott, Canadian pop R&B artist the Weeknd and rapper Big Sean.
