Rihanna Reveals She’s Pregnant With Third Child at Met Gala

Rihanna, who typically makes a fashionably late entrance at the Met Gala, showed up with her partner and co-chair of this year’s event, A$AP Rocky, early and they had a surprise in tow: She’s pregnant with their third child!

Wearing a form-fitting two-piece Miu Miu number that emphasized her baby bump, she completed the baby bump-revealing look with matching grey knee highs and heels. Photographer Miles Diggs shared a photo of the star on Instagram ahead of the red carpet, featuring the “Diamonds” singer with an umbrella in the rain and her baby bump with the caption: “Chance of Showers.”

The last time the couple appeared at the Met Gala was in 2023, when Rihanna was pregnant with their second child, Riot. She wore a flower-themed hooded gown by Valentino, and A$AP Rocky wore a suit jacket, tie, jeans, and a kilt. Rihanna famously revealed her pregnancy during the her Super Bowl 2023 Halftime Show. The couple’s first child, RZA, was born in May 2022.

In April 2024, the superstar spoke with Interview Magazine and when asked how many more children she wanted, she replied: “As many as God wants me to have.” When asked if it was more than two, she said, “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”

When speaking with Vogue for a feature published last month, Rocky described his love for Rihanna as “internal, external, infinite, the past, the future.” He also praised her style ahead of the Met Gala when discussing its theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. “It’s in them already,” he said of his sons. “Look who they moms is. She dress her ass off.”
