Rishab Rikhiram Sharma’s 10-City 2026 India Tour Kicks Off in March
Following the postponement of some 2025 tour dates, the sitar virtuoso has announced a new India run between March and April 2026.
Neo-classical musician and sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has announced a ten-city India leg of his Sitar For Mental Health Tour for 2026. Set to kick off in Bengaluru on March 15, 2026, the new India run will see Sharma take his flagship series to Mumbai (March 20), Pune (March 22), Hyderabad (March 27), Jaipur (March 29), Chennai (April 3), Ahmedabad (April 5), Chandigarh (April 10), and Kolkata (April 12) before ending in New Delhi on April 19.
The tour, presented by Kotak Mahindra Bank – Solitaire, and promoted and produced by Team Innovation in association with District by Zomato, also marks Sharma’s return to Indian stages following his last run in April 2025. It also comes after the postponement of his shows in Indore, Chandigarh and Kolkata in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attacks in May last year.
Since then, the contemporary sitarist has continued to expand his international footprint across North America and Europe, with upcoming debut performances scheduled this month in Singapore at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena.
Speaking on the upcoming tour, Sharma said in a statement, “As we step into a brand new year, I’m filled with excitement to finally return home and honour the many heartfelt requests from my Indian fans. This homecoming will be grand, immersive, and an experience of a lifetime, celebrating the healing power of the sitar while continuing to raise awareness for mental health.”
A disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Sharma’s live shows are structured as immersive sets that draw from classical ragas while incorporating modern arrangements and improvisation. The Sitar For Mental Health format further introduces guided listening and reflective pauses, framing the concert experience as both musical and meditative. The India tour setlist is expected to feature a mix of new material, including “The Burning Ghat,” alongside established compositions like “Shiv Kailash,” “Chanakya,” and “Shankara.”
Tickets for the tour will be sold exclusively on the District app, with a 12-hour presale for Kotak Solitaire credit card customers beginning on Jan. 30, 2026 at 12 PM IST, followed by a 36-hour presale for Kotak Mahindra Bank credit card holders. General sales open on Feb. 1, 2026, at 2 pm.
