Our first playlist of the summer features excellent tracks from Worm’s Cottage, Dossers Urge and Madboy/Mink
The month of April is well under way, which means that summer is finally upon us. This means a few things: fresh mangoes on every street corner, new clouds forming in the sky to remind us of the impending monsoon and inescapable, oppressive heat. Thankfully, our favorite musicians haven’t taken the drowsy weather as an excuse for lethargy, and instead have been releasing music with every intent, it seems, to soundtrack our summers.
Every month, we publish a playlist of all our favorite new releases from South Asian artists. Here are the 10 best tracks we’ve been digging this April, listed in one handy SoundCloud playlist for your listening pleasure. This month our list includes songs from folk-electronic recluse Worm’s Cottage, a chillwave track from Mumbai producer Kumail, a cathartic rock song from Shillong’s Dossers Urge and more.
Hit the “like” button on our playlist and follow our SoundCloud page to keep updated on what we’re tuning into each month.
