Rolling Stone India Monthly Playlist Series: August

Our August playlist includes excellent tracks from newcomers like Aditi Ramesh and old favorites like The Ganesh Talkies

There’s no denying the passage of time, but how could it possibly be that we’re already in the eighth month? If you, too, have let this year slip through your fingers, don’t let all the great new music out now slip through them as well.

Every month, we publish a playlist of all our favorite new releases from South Asian artists and international musicians we’ve recently interviewed. Here are the 10 best tracks we’ve been digging this August, listed in one handy SoundCloud playlist for your listening pleasure. This month, our playlist includes standout jazz/Hindustani classical vocals from newcomer Aditi Ramesh, heavy solipsism from Dolorblind on “Are You Asleep Rabbit,” a
tightly-executed fusion track from The Ganesh Talkies, a live-drummed song from Aditya Ashok’s production project OX7GEN and plenty more.

Hit the “like” button on our playlist and follow our SoundCloud page to keep updated on
what we’re tuning into each month.
