Should you decide to do any raindancing in the next few weeks, we’ve got the perfect soundtrack for you

Scroll down to listen to Rolling Stone India’s latest Monthly Playlist, featuring handpicked new tracks from the past month.

We get it, we get it–it’s raining, it’s pouring, something about an old man snoring–but definitely don’t sleep on the great new music we’ve been obsessed with this July. This past month has seen a disproportionately large number of excellent releases from our favorite South Asian artists, as well as a few breakout tracks from musicians who are brand-new on the scene. We don’t know what it is about the gloomy gray skies that conjures up so much creative inspiration, but hey, if this is the kind of music we get out of it, we’ll gladly thank the heavens and do rain dances all monsoon long.

Here are the 10 best tracks we’ve been digging this July, listed in one handy SoundCloud playlist for your listening pleasure. The list includes a sick beat and killer flow from producer Pulpy Shilpy (Gowri Jayakumar), serious Snarky Puppy vibes from Mumbai duo Ape Machines, Nikhil D’Souza’s dreamy new ballad, Nepali musician Phatcowlee’s cinematic insomnia and plenty more.
