It’s bigger, it’s meaner and it’s three times as loud! The 3rd Rolling Stone Metal Awards are a little more than a month away and we have our final list of nominees.

After over a month of brutal deliberation, we’ve counted your votes, crunched the numbers and present to you the nominees for India’s only metal awards.

Leading the nominations are Mumbai’s Goddess Gagged and Providence with seven nods each. Bangalore’s Eccentric Pendulum is close behind with six, followed by Pangea, Dark Helm and Skyharbor.

Aman Virdi of Noiseware

Skyharbor, who will open for Lamb of God this weekend, are nominated for Best Song (‘Maeva’), Best Guitarist (Keshav Dhar) and Best Vocalist (Sunneith Revankar).

In fact, Revankar is nominated twice as Best Vocalist for his work on the Skyharbor album as well as his vocals on the Providence record Vanguard.

The Rolling Stone Metal Awards will be held on July 1st, 2012 at the Blue Frog and will also feature performances by some of the best metal bands in the country.

Fans can vote for their favorite bands in three categories ”“ Best Song, Best Album and Best Band ”“ starting May 25th, 2012 right up to June 25th, 2012.
