Rolling Stone Metal Awards 2015 Entries Open

The sixth edition of RSMA will take place in March 2015 in Mumbai

RSMA2015 entries (385x504)Next year, the Rolling Stone Metal Awards [RSMA] returns for its sixth edition earlier than usual. The annual metal awards ceremony and performance platform, which has hosted everyone from Delhi tech/groove metal band Undying Inc to metal band Bhayanak Maut and Aizawl death metallers Third Sovereign, is slated to take place in Mumbai in March this year.

The entries for RSMA 2015 are now open for all bands and artists who have released a single, EP or album between April 1st, 2014 and December 31st, 2014 can send in entries in any or all of the above categories. The winners will be announced at RSMA 2015 in March, which will also include performances by metal bands from across the country, making it the loudest night of the year.

With awards in nine categories, from Best Guitarist to Best Album Art and the top three honors of Best Band, Best Song and Best Album, the awards show has been one of the biggest highlights of the year for both metal bands and fans from across the country. Previous winners of the iconic Gibson Flying V trophy include prog metallers Skyharbor, groove/thrash metal band Providence and Bengaluru folk metal band The Down Troddence, who made a clean sweep with eight awards in June 2014, tying with Mumbai death metal band Reptilian Death in the Best Band category. Nominees last year also included hardcore/prog band Reverrse Polarity, symphonic black metal band Cosmic Infusion and death grind band Gutslit.
