Rectified Spirit, Plague Throat, Grammy Winning Effort and more are slated to perform at gigs through February
The seventh edition of G-SHOCK presents Rolling Stone Metal Awards [RSMA] kicks into gear this February and it’s coming to a city near you. This year, RSMA returns to Bengaluru and Delhi and makes its way to the North East, hosting a pre-gig in Guwahati. Bengaluru will see the return of metal gig series Insurrection on the February 7th at The Humming Tree, with performances by the award-winning folk metal band The Down Troddence, thrash veterans Threinody, prog metallers Escher’s Knot, Bhopal death metal band Elemental and Bengaluru experimental death metallers Necrophilia.
Guwahati’s Cheers Crossroads will play host to a RSMA pre-show on February 12th with Shillong death metal Plague Throat, tech-deathcore band Jammers Graveyard, metal band Shades of Retribution, prog/thrash metallers The Last Theory and black metal band Lunatic Fringe.
Plague Throat are also the big draw at the Delhi pre-gig on February 18th, alongside libero metallers Rectified Spirit, Delhi-based post-hardcore band Grammy Winning Effort and heavy metal/djent Delhi band Warwan at Antisocial.
The 7th annual G-Shock RSMA will take place in Mumbai on February 28th 2016 and with some of the best metal bands in India competing in several categories including the big three: Best Album, Best Song and Best Band. Past winners include extreme metal act Demonic Resurrection, Delhi groove metal band Undying Inc and progressive metallers Skyharbor.
