Kolkata’s The Festival, apart from being the easiest name for a festival, unlike this, has brought down Finnish rock band Poets of the Fall in the past and continues to bring down international artists. This year, in its third edition, The Festival is headlined by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, who will jam with Dubai hard rock band Point of View on June 15th.

Thal returns to India following the Guns N’ Roses India tour in December last year. Thal’s connection with Point of View goes back to the hard rock band’s album launch in October 2012 in Dubai, when Thal jammed with them on stage. Thal and Point of View join French metal band Hacride [who stop by Kolkata as part of their India tour] and Maldivian heavy metal band Nothnegal.

Point of View and Thal will also jam with other musicians such as Warren Mendonsa, Bruce Lee Mani, Surojit Dev [of Delhi rock band Them Clones] and hard rock band Krosswindz guitarist Vikramjit Banerjee  on their five-city India tour, which includes stops at Hard Rock Cafes in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad starting June 11th.
