Parampara Tandon and Sachet Tandon have released their new album 'Achha Lag Raha Hai' as Sachet-Parampara.

Sachet-Parampara have got the golden touch when it comes to music in India. Their 2022 song “Malang Sajna” – released in December that year – went on to become the fourth-most streamed song of 2023 in the country on Spotify.

Currently standing at over 239 million streams on Spotify and over 173 million views on YouTube, the soothing “Malang Sajna” – full of emphatic proclamations of love – also finds its place on Sachet-Parampara’s album Achha Lag Raha Hai. Released via T-Series on April 26th, singer-composers Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon kick off the album by taking the breezy, fun-loving acoustic-pop route with “Mera Saaya,” which has serious earworm potential with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil.

True to their content creator-friendly aesthetic that leads to several hit Reels and YouTube shorts, Sachet-Parampara even bring in a hook step in the video for “Mera Saaya,” mimicking the strum of a guitar.

The title track arrives second in line, immediately springing forward with a familiar pop-rock roominess, with lyrics by Kumaar. Emphatic vocals by both singers and bright keyboard hits mark their thoughts about blossoming first love. Also featuring lyrics written by Kumaar, “Ghungroo” leads with Sachet’s soulful Punjabi vocals, but he also switches it up with a smattering of English words to add a hip-hop vibe.

With more Indian classical elements blended into a modern pop mix, “Kho Jaana” brings in lyricist Youngveer for another grandiose Punjabi song about losing oneself in each other’s company, on an intoxicating and satisfying kind of level.

While the original version of “Malang Sajna” is the penultimate track on Achha Lag Raha Hai, there’s a “Jamming Version” of the song that is built upon on straightforward electric guitar lines by Raghav Sharma, subtle synths and Sachet-Parampara’s vocals. The track’s stripped-down version is perhaps one way for the duo to play up the track’s singalong power.

Parampara says that they didn’t want Achha Lag Raha Hai to be “just another collection of songs” when they began working on it. “We wanted it to be an immersive experience, a journey of joy and positivity. Achha Lag Raha Hai is our gift to music lovers everywhere,” she adds.

Sachet says about the album in his statement, “Creating Achha Lag Raha Hai has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This is our first-ever album and each track in it is like a piece of our soul poured into music. It’s a celebration of life, love, and everything in between.”

The album arrives as part of T-Series’ campaign to release EPs and albums every month from their roster of regular artists.

T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar said in a statement, “With the monthly release of EPs and Albums spanning different genres, we aim to cater to the diverse tastes of our audience while showcasing the incredible talent within our roster. From indie sensations to commercial chart-toppers and rap geniuses, we have something special in store for everyone.”
