Nepali Artist Yaatri’s New Song ‘Family’ is a Heartwarming Acoustic Ode
The artist Sahitya Nepal is assisted by artist Rohit Rana KC on the unplugged version that plays up rock and roll ballad-style vocals
Like a song straight out of the Seventies, singer-songwriter Sahitya Nepal Yaatri’s latest track “Family” is a soul-baring, resolute ode to the power of loved ones.
The unplugged version of the English song, which is the second release from Yaatri’s upcoming debut album, features song arrangement by artist Rohit Rana KC and Subodh Dahal, founder of the company Oscar Events Nepal (who have produced the project). An India connect also comes in the shape of producer and multi-instrumentalist Vishal J. Singh and producer Jason Baruah working on the mix and master of “Family” at Pargot Studio.
A description for the song states, “‘Family’ epitomizes standing by your loved ones when the world opposes you. It embodies unity, vitality, and resilience, navigating challenges with compassion, love, and unity. Regardless of the world’s cruelty, having a family ensures you can live authentically and pursue your dreams.” Flowing along like an easygoing but heartfelt acoustic ballad that emerges on the road or at a campfire, the description further adds, “They [family] are the silent champions, steadfastly supporting you through thick and thin, instilling belief, trust, and strength. Their unwavering love empowers you to overcome any obstacle, making you unstoppable with their presence.”
This new track from Yaatri – who started off with the swaying Nepali song “Ritto Jhola” last year – presents another English songwriting side of the artist after the grandiose track “See Me Now.” Working with Singh throughout, Yaatri has also released a handful of Nepali songs including “Dherai Bhayo” last month and 2023 singles “Manai Ta Ho” and “Kina Risako.”
