Mumbai hardcore band Scribe have spent the last four months touring the country and giving their audience a peek into their yet-to-be-released new album Hail Mogambo. With festival performances including the NH7 Weekender in Delhi and Pune, Scribe frontman Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy is rooting for Kolkata pop artist Nischay Parekh, who released his debut album Ocean in October last year.

Parekh has been nominated for Best Band, Best Album and Best Song at the Ninth Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards this year. Krishnamoorthy explains why he thinks Parekh will win Best Band/Artist Of The Year:

“This is quite simply, delightful music! This band has truly made an impression this year with a fantastic release, an innovative live instrument arrangement and just raw talent. I had the fortune of hanging out with the band over a couple of music festivals last year and even play on the same lineup on top of a bus, and they are undoubtedly the find of 2013. Top notch music from top notch people.”

Voting for JD Rock Awards is open until February 15th. Vote for your favorite artist to win here.
