Sean Paul To Play In India

The reggae star will play a multi-city tour in November

Jul 18, 2012

Chart success and Grammy award aside, the first thing that pops to mind when we think Sean Paul is the fact that  current World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand found inspiration in Paul’s  track “She Doesn’t Mind” while he played the winning game in Russia last month.

There’s clearly a bigger fan base for the dancehall star in India considering he has been booked to tour the country for the first time in November. Says the Jamaican-born singer in an official statement, “It’s your boy Sean and you heard it straight from me – India get ready for my live show. The wait is finally over and now for the first time ever, I’m excited to bring my live show to India. I can’t wait for my fans to join me where I’ll be performing all of your favorites and some new songs from my latest album. Watch this space for more to know where all I’m performing”

Sean Paul released his fifth studio album Tomhawk Technique in January 2012 that features collaborations with numerous R&B and electronica artists like Akon, Stargate, Kelly Rowland, Pitbull among others. Blue Note Entertainment, the tour organizers, are yet to announce dates and cities that will be covered.
