See Beyonce’s Elegant, Naked Underwater Maternity Photos

Beyoncé unveiled new maternity pictures on her website after announcing she is pregnant with twins with husband Jay Z.

The series includes a variety of elegant underwater photos and pictures from the same shoot that produced the image Beyoncé used to accompany her announcement on Instagram (per Pitchfork, that photo has already become the most liked photo in the site’s history). 

The new album also includes .gifs from the maternity shoots, photos of Beyoncé with her daughter Blue Ivy and poetry from Warsan Shire, who also worked on Lemonade.

Beyoncé did not reveal the expected due date for her twins. It’s unclear if the pregnancy will impact whether or not she attends the Grammy Awards on February 12th where she’s nominated for nine awards including Album of the Year for Lemonade and Song of the Year for “Formation.” Beyoncé is also scheduled to headline Coachella, April 14th through 16th and 21st through 23rd.

Like her surprise Instagram announcement, Beyoncé revealed she was pregnant with Blue Ivy in an unexpected moment at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. While performing 4‘s “Love On Top,” she unbuttoned her tuxedo top, dropped her microphone and told the world by simply rubbing her stomach.

Beyoncé announced Wednesday on her Instagram that she and husband Jay Z are pregnant with twins.
