See Billy Joel Reunite With Axl Rose, Perform With John Mayer at Los Angeles Concert

Piano Man brings out Guns N' Roses singer for "Live and Let Die," Mayer for "This Is the Time" at the Intuit Dome

Billy Joel performed Saturday night at Inglewood, California’s new Intuit Dome, where the Piano Man brought out John Mayer and reunited with Axl Rose.

Just months after Joel brought out the Guns N’ Roses singer as the final guest at his final Madison Square Garden residency show, the pair got together on stage once more, this time for a rendition of GNR’s take on Wings’ “Live and Let Die”:

Joel and Rose also performed the Paul McCartney-penned classic at the final MSG show in July, as well as a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” and a concert-ending “You May Be Right.” The singers first performed together in 2017, when Joel staged a concert at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.

In addition to Rose, Joel also welcomed John Mayer onstage to help him out with “This Is the Time,” which the duo previously performed together back in 2008 when the Piano Man closed out New York’s Shea Stadium:

While his MSG residency is over, Joel recently announced a slate of 2025 stadium gigs co-headlining with either Sting and Stevie Nicks.
