See Pulkit Jain’s Serene Video For ‘Kinare Pe’

The track is the Mumbai-based singer-songwriter’s second single

Indore-bred and Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Pulkit Jain recently followed up his 2020 debut single “Aur Tujhse Main” with the calming “Kinare Pe.”

According to Jain, the new song is a musical translation of the warmth one feels while sitting silently on a seashore, either alone or with a loved one. Sonically, the track is filled with acoustic guitar parts and contains a bluesy solo too. Jain penned it with help from his sister Palak. He says, “Palak is my primary pillar of the creative process when it comes to producing original music.” The singer-songwriter adds, “Being just more than a wonderful lyricist, she’s by my side throughout the making of our songs — brainstorming ideas and talking about how the emotion of a song could be achieved.”

“Kinare Pe” was recorded at Jain’s home studio while Prasad Maha mixed and mastered it. “He [Maha] helped me achieve the sonic warmth I envisioned,” says Jain.

The song’s accompanying video – shot by Cornerstone Production – was filmed in Indore and captures the natural landscape of the city while Jain is also seen performing the track. “It was so fantastic exploring all these places and how beautifully the video came out is a true reflection of that,” says the musician.

While Jain is working on more tunes for his year, away from music he also runs a non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides financial aid to students unable to continue their education. “Over several years, it has been funded through what I earned by performing live shows and we’ve been fortunate enough to have helped more than 1300 students,” he says. The artist also provides animal welfare and aid to strays. “It’s just a part of my life that has been hand-in-hand with performing music and has taught me a small social responsibility,” says Jain.
