Serbia’s Exit Music Festival Has Its Eye on India with Travel Tie-Up
An “exclusive travel package” has been designed for tourists and festival goers who want to see the likes of Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Sepultura and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and experience the country

Even as music festivals in India begin to announce dates for their much-awaited post-lockdown comeback, there are multi-day music gatherings already kicking off around the world that are enticing Indians.
Even as some make plans for big-ticket festivals such as Primavera in Spain or Wacken Open Air in Germany this summer, other festivals in Europe try to woo attendants by partnering with travel agencies to offer tourism and the music festival experience. Serbia’s Exit Music Festival, which will run from July 7th to July 10th at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, is teaming up with Gurugram-headquartered travel company JOL to sell an “exclusive travel package for discerning Indian travelers” wishing to attend.
Exit – has been around since 2000 and is also hosted in Malta – will bring together a diverse lineup, ranging from EDM artists like Calvin Harris, Afrojack and Noisia to Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Iggy Azalea, singer-songwriter James Arthur, punk forerunner Marky Ramone, plus metal bands like Sepultura, Napalm Death and Nervosa across four days.
The exclusive package from JOL – which includes an early kickoff in Serbia starting from July 6th – gets you premium hotel accommodations, exploring local food and culture, and a two-day VIP access pass to the festival. The JOL website lists the package’s all-inclusive price starting from ₹1,37,997 per person, payable in installments. In addition to the festival, the package promises access to opening and closing parties in Belgrade, wine tasting and a seven-course lunch.
JOL CEO Sanyam Bajaj says in a statement, “Over the years, music tourism has transformed into a massive phenomenon globally, owing to the fact that the young travelers in India are enthusiastic about exploring it as a completely new experience. With music forming a large part of this population’s interest, travel is the new medium that is bringing these two forces together to revive travel and tourism to pre-Covid levels.”
