Shaa'ir and Func.
Shaa’ir + Func are an electronic music duo from Mumbai comprising vocalist Monica Dogra and guitarist Randolph Correia [also from electro rock band Pentagram]. Formed in 2005, their music fuses glitchy beats and rock riffs with pop vocals. The duo has composed three albums: New Day: The Love Album in 2006, followed by Light Tribe in 2008 and their most recent album, Mantis, released in 2010. All three albums were released under Blue Frog Records. While Dogra has bagged the Best Vocalist in the Jack Daniel’s Annual Music Award twice in a row, in 2009 and 2010, the duo won Album Of The Year for Light Tribe and Mantis. They were also nominated in the Asia Voice Independent Music Awards  [AVIMA] in 2009, for Best Pop/R&B song, Best Dance Electronica Song, Best Dance Act and Most Genre Bending Track.
