Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward perform single from new album, ‘Volume 3’
With their fourth album having just hit the shelves a few days ago, She and Him brought their sunny retro pop to The Late Show With David Letterman on Friday. Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward were joined by a bevy of backup singers and musicians (including a lush string section) for their performance of “Never Wanted Your Love,” the lead single off Volume 3.
The new album, which was released on May 7th on Merge, features 11 original songs and three covers. The duo head out on a North American tour in support of the album this summer, starting in Nashville on June 13th and joined on some dates by Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowley, and Camera Obscura on others.
