Sheryl Crow Opens Up About Benign Brain Tumor

Breast cancer survivor has meningioma

Jun 06, 2012

Sheryl Crow has opened up about the benign brain tumor she was diagnosed with last November. In a new interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the 50-year-old singer says, “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor.”

Crow says she has no complications from the tumor, which is known as a meningioma. “It’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it,” she notes.

A rep for Crow has emphasized as much, stating that Crow is not ill and that “everything is fine.” “It was a random mention during the interview,” said the rep. “It was not meant to alarm anyone. She is doing great and is healthy and happy.”

Crow overcame breast cancer in 2006, after undergoing a minimally invasive surgery and chemotherapy.
