Hear Producers Sirux and Someone Else’s Hardstyle Banger ‘Apocalypse’

Turning away from their favored EDM and trap style, the artists’ previous collaboration was the tropical bass single “Silent & Grey” in 2021

Chennai-based producer Someone Else aka Jessenth Ebenezer has been riding the trap, dubstep and bass music wave consistently over the last few years. But as it turns out, all he was really yearning to do as an electronic music artist was to switch things up. That change arrives in the form of his latest collaboration with New Delhi-based EDM artist Sirux aka Sambhav Narula on the hardstyle track “Apocalypse.”

Ebenezer, who has previously released music with labels such as Tribal Trap, decided to independently put out “Apocalypse” with Narula. The two-minute instrumental song screams out in euphoria, presenting an unrelentingly loud and vibrant progression at 150 BPM. Narula said in a statement, “My homie Jessenth and I have really worked hard on this one and made something completely different from what we make. We decided to make the genre we like and really wanted to put this out.” The song is accompanied by visuals that are apt and ambitious for the producers, gleaning footage from big EDM festival stages as well as tents.

This is the duo’s second collaboration, following their single “Silent & Grey” featuring Lisbon producer TH3 DARP in 2021, which stayed true to their dubstep, bass and trap influences. All that might just be in the past for Ebenezer, though. He says about releasing his latest song, “I wanted a total overhaul as to what this project means to me, in my year-long journey of soul searching, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I may not be the most consistent or successful so instead of worrying about getting my music where I want it to be, I want to make music I wish I existed, and songs that if I heard them I’d go like, ‘Damn, why didn’t I make something like this!’

The door’s swung wide open and future projects under the Someone Else moniker are likely to showcase more diversity. “I’m releasing hardstyle now, then I’ll put out a lo-fi EP, or a melodic dubstep single next, who knows? Someone Else has something for everyone,” Ebenezer says.
