Parekh & Singh, Parvaaz and Sameer Rahat Join Skillbox’s New Artist Management Agency Level House

Artist manager Yama Seth, formerly of management company Big Bad Wolf, joins as head of talent at the ticketing and live entertainment firm

Ticketing and live entertainment platform Skillbox is making its way into artist management with the launch of their new agency Level House. Working with New Delhi-based artist manager Yama Seth (formerly of talent management company Big Bad Wolf), the first artists signed to Level House are Bengaluru-based rock band Parvaaz (who move from Big Bad Wolf with Seth), singer-songwriter Sameer Rahat and Kolkata dream-pop duo Parekh & Singh (for the Indian region).

Parvaaz say in their joint statement that they had a good experience working with Big Bad Wolf for the past five years and are now looking forward to a “healthy collaboration” with Level House. “As Yama being our manager, the trust has already been built. We as a team are looking forward to this new chapter. We are all set to release new music this year and we look forward to what the new team has to offer,” the statement adds.

Rahat also points to new music coming up – his second album is slated to drop later this year – and how he’s looking forward to working with Level House to get things kickstarted. “Every artist I’d say is seeking that kind of support from their management but also something that has some warmth and doesn’t feel confined,” he says. Likening a new management team to writing a song on a new page, he says there are “still ideas lingering from your other drafts.”

Seth, for her part, says the intention with Level House is to be an artist management company that provides “a safe space to artists to wholly be themselves and drive culture the way they want to.” She adds in her statement, “As a team, we all resonate with the idea that each artist is unique and they get to carve out their own niche, build their own community as well as businesses and we are here to provide the support structure they need in order to do that. Skillbox has built itself as an artist-first brand and I am excited to build on this philosophy as we grow Level House.”

With more artists expected to be signed to Level House in the coming months, Skillbox chief executive officer Anmol Kukreja says their decision to enter the artist management arena is part of a larger mission to “enable artists to create value from their work” at various stages of their career. Skillbox says they will leverage ticketing, live music data and IPs to help musicians along the way. Kukreja adds in his statement, “This is a first for any ticketing platform in the country. It is a very exciting time for the music industry at large and we are thrilled to bring on Yama Seth to lead the division.”
