Self-titled album set to release December 10th.
Sky Rabbit, the electro-alterno four-piece formerly known as Medusa, will hit the road for a six-city tour to support their upcoming self-titled album. The band kicks things off tomorrow night at the Hard Rock Café in Hyderabad. The new album is the first recorded material from the recently re-named Sky Rabbit since they featured on the 2009 Soundpad compilation produced by acclaimed producer John Leckie (Radiohead, Muse, Stone Roses).
Mixing up electronic samples with live instrumentation, the band’s new sound is a departure from their earlier progressive metal work. The new album consists of nine tracks co-produced by Ashish Manchanda and described by the band as “a set of tightly constructed tracks that blend synthetic textures with more organic instrumentation”.
The band will release Sky Rabbit through EMI Virgin Records on January 10th.
