In late 2012, prog metal band Skyharbor’s guitarist Devesh Dayal said in an interview that it would be a dream come true to play at UK’s Download Festival. In February this year, the band was announced to play at the Red Bull Studio Stage on June 14th. In addition to the festival date, the band will also play in nine other cities throughout June, across Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Italy.
Says Dayal about the tour, “A friend of ours joked that it was actually more of a wine and beer-tasting tour than an actual Europe tour.” Jhaveri adds that he’s looking forward to play and attend Download Festival, where acts such as mathcore band The Dillinger Escape Plan and experimental metal band SikTh are performing.
Skyharbor’s setlist for their Europe tour will include at least four new songs, according to the band. “Halogen,” which premiered during the band’s UK tour in October last year, along with their first yet-to-be-revealed single are going to be set staples for both festival and club shows.
