Smashing Pumpkins Reveal ‘Oceania’ Cover and Track Listing

Preview live versions of songs from the band's seventh studio album

Published by

The Smashing Pumpkins will release Oceania, their seventh studio album, on June 19th. Though the record stands on its own, it was created as part of the band’s ongoing 44-song work-in-progress Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, which has been released song-by-song since the end of 2009.

The album is the Pumpkins’ first major work with new drummer Mike Byrne, guitarist Jeff Schroeder and bassist Nicole Fiorentino, who all joined the group in the time since the Pumpkins’ previous album, Zeitgeist, came out in 2007.

The full track listing for Oceania is as follows:

“Quasar”

“Panopticon”

“The Celestials”

“Violet Rays”

“My Love Is Winter”

“One Diamond, One Heart”

“Pinwheels”

“Oceania”

“Pale Horse”

“The Chimera”

“Glissandra”

“Inkless”

“Wildflower”

About half of the songs from Oceania were regularly performed on the Pumpkins’ most recent world tour. Here are a few video clips of the band performing those songs, many of which recall the heavy psychedelia of their early Gish/Siamese Dream period.
