Sofia Boutella IS readying for a revolution in the new full trailer for Zach Snyder’s Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire. The sci-fi epic will arrive in select theaters for one week only beginning Dec. 15, before it is released for streaming on Netflix on Dec. 22.

The film follows Kora (Boutella), a mysterious character who finds herself in the farthest reaches of the galaxy after a crash and begins a new life while living among peaceful farmers. But the calm is shortlived when she becomes the settlement’s hope in an ensuing battle for her new home and its people against the Bloodaxes (Cleopatra Coleman and Ray Fisher) who lead a group of insurgents after the farmers unwittingly sell their crops to them.

Tapped to gather a team of fighters who are willing to die to defend the people of Veldt, Kora and farmer Gunnar (Michiel Huisman) join forces to assemble a small band of warriors who share common ground while searching for the Bloodaxes.

The new clip foreshadows what’s to come as ominous ships land by their farmland. “What do you think they want?” Kora is asked. She responds in a terrified whisper: “Everything.” Later, as violence erupts, she warns: “You’re delusional” when she’s told the farmers are peaceful and they likely won’t be killed. “You think those soldiers will show them mercy?” She is then seen fighting men with guns and other weapons on her own in front of the farmers. After she’s taken all the men with the weapons down, she plainly tells the farmers who watch in awe: “We’re going to have to fight.” It’s the battle cry before they take on the armies of the Motherworld who are looking to destroy them all.

The film also stars Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Charlie Hunnam, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of “Jimmy.”
