Something Relevant

Something Relevant are a bunch of really talented guys from Mumbai. In a very short time they’ve managed to find themselves, musically speaking, to harness their own sound and even record their own material. It’s that sound that really sets them apart. Most of the bands that have come out of the scene have been rock bands and these guys stand out because they have a jazzier sound. It’s an interesting sound that’s different from all the other bands that are mostly in the rock space. It’s too soon to say if they’d had much of an impact on the scene but they just have to keep doing what they’re doing right now and in a few years”¦ who knows? But they definitely have a lot of potential.

I’be hung out with them and I’ve known them since they started playing. They’re all very young and they’ve got a lot of potential. They just need to put their heads down and keep playing music. A lot of it has to do with exposure. They’ve played so often at Blue Frog, they’re fortunate to have been exposed to a lot of the stuff that’s been happening, all the international acts that have been coming down and they’ve got some very positive exposure from all that and it shows in their sound. They also have tremendous energy on stage and a great attitude towards music. I wish them all the success!
